For Your Procrastination: “The Awesomest 7-year Postdoc”

February 4, 2014 | by

fypThis guest blog from the Scientific American deals with an issue that we all struggle with -- work-life balance. It’s written by a professor at Harvard who had an interesting approach to getting tenure:  she viewed her 7-year probationary period as an assistant professor as a “7-year post doc”. Unlike many of her peers, Dr. Radhika Nagpal chose NOT to sacrifice her social/family life in the quest for tenure. In the blog, she reflects upon her experiences and gives some practical advice on how to maintain a healthy work-life balance. Check it out.
